yes my real name really is Ma (with a few other words people don't use, just call me Ma)
i founded the WebComicNetwork, i mostly just do whatever i feel like doing, that's how i ended up making the network it's also how i ended up investigating an illegal Korean gambling ring (i still haven't tracked them down but I've been pretty busy tbf) that's a weird story you can ask me about later, but when the story concludes i'll defiantly be making a video about it.
i've done commission work on comics before, but i don't really follow up on where my art ends up going so i couldn't tell you the names of these comics, but they look pretty weird.
i made a webcomic a long time ago, but only as an experiment so i could learn more about the process, some day i would like to reboot it using my new knowledge, but in the mean time i would be much more likely to make a short one shot webcomic.
i made a surreal cartoon, which before the network was my most successful IP, i even got a folder full of fan art and everything, 2 people even made their own separate cartoon series inspired by mine and claimed i had invented a new sub-genre of animation. every episode is hidden, it's sort of a treasure hunt kind of thing. recently i was amused to find multiple fake pirate videos of my series which i will link, but don't click the annotations (it might be dangerous, if not dangerous its definitely a scam)

i also manage an annual bear themed internet event, which i will most likely be adapting to this community as a tradition, last year i made a documentary about it, that year we also got thousands of people participating it was pretty good, but i'm slightly worried it might get taken out of my hands next time, last year there was some executive decisions made above my head that i disagreed with, that's why i'd like to celebrate it here as well.

that voice is of my friend who voice acts for me (i don't talk), and you'll probably be hearing them in future WCN videos
i could go on all day about weird things I've done, but it's mostly just small anecdotes from this point on, and they aren't that interesting, for example i made a music album about coffee and I've never drunk coffee in my life.
